September 6th - Renewed Hope

Our intent was to "announce" or distribute our blog to our family and friends earlier this week, but I was determined to try and improve upon the appearance and features. I am coming to realize that it has to be a "work-in-progress" and it won't be perfect from the get go.

Since my last (and first) post, it has been a week of encouragement and renewed hope for us. We are continually reminded of God's love for us and his sustaining grace. Earlier this week, we reached out to our Pastor and asked him for guidance as to how we could reach the greater church family about our desire to adopt in our attempt to reach as many people as possible. He graciously connected us with a couple who just adopted a baby boy last week. They went through some trying and difficult times during their adoption journey, but now are blessed with a beautiful baby boy. I just got off the phone with her and she was such an encouragement to me/us. We feel so blessed that God has placed people like this couple and our Pastor in our lives. We are encouraged that it will happen for us as well. We just need to continue to perservere and pray for direction.

In closing, we hope this posting finds everyone well. Please know you all are in our thoughts often and we so wish we could spend time with each of you. Please feel free to email or call us anytime. Our adoption/family email is lovingparents@live.com.

Love,

Christy and Malcolm

Christy and Malcolm,
I don't know a more deserving couple and I know God will bless you with a beautiful child.
Continue to believe in God's plan that He has a very special child in mind for you and you just have to be patient while you wait for His special gift.
My prayers are with you everyday.

Christy and Malcolm,
Do you remember the book Just In Case You Ever Wonder? Well, we're just as confident now as we were when you first shared your story with us that you will be awesome parents! We know that God in his infinite wisdom is preparing you for His intended child. What a blessing you will be to that baby! We can't wait to share the next step of the journey with you! Even dirty diapers and midnight feedings!
We love you.
